Pag-IBIG Fund & city government's mass wedding (gcc/alt)

Pagadian City mayor Samuel Co spent Valentines Day by officiating the mass wedding of 129 couples at the City Commercial Center. Some of the couples have been living together for so many years without the benefit of the marriage because they do  not have money to spend for a formal wedding.

A total of 129 couples from Pagadian City were wedded by Mayor Samuel S. Co  during simple ceremonies held at the City Commercial Center on February 14, 2013. The mass wedding jointly sponsored by the state-owned Pag-IBIG Fund and city government dubbed “I do. I do. Araw ng Pag-Ibig”. Pag-IBIG Fund provided rings of all couples. took care of give-away tokens, brides’ bouquets, cupcakes and a lunch reception.

It took almost an hour for 129 couples to walk down the aisle on Valentines Day at the City Commercial Center, Pagadian City on February 14.

PVAF 2013 Art Workshop (gcc)

Talented public elementary and high school students in Zamboanga del Sur undergo free art workshop from the JCI-Yllana and National Commission for the Culture and Arts during the Philippine Visual Arts Festival held at the Megayon Stage, Provincial Government Center, Dao, Pagadian City

PVAF 2013 Interactive Painting Competition (gcc)

More than 100 visual artists from all over the country joined the 4-day Philippine Visual Arts Festival (PVAF) at the Provincial Government Center, Dao, Pagadian City on February 7-11, 2013.






NCCA's Sayaw Pinoy in Pagadian City (gcc)

Worl-class ballet dancers and Philippines' pride– the Hallili Cruz Ballet company of Quezon City.


Zamboanga del Sur’s pride – the  Malengas Dance Ensemble. The dance troupe  shows its mastery of Mindanao dance forms such as the Suaben, Kambuyang, Silong sa Ganding and Pangalay.

Sayaw Pinoy performers attired in beautiful regional costumes entertain the audience composed mostly of high school students of Zamboanga del Sur at Megayon stage, Provincial Government Center, Dao, Pagadian City.“Sayaw Pinoy” performers were composed of Halili-Cruz Ballet company of Quezon City, ‘Sining Bulakenyo’ of Malolos Bulacan, Technological University of the Philipines’ ‘Kalinangan” Dance Troupe, Lyceum of the Philippines University’s ‘Lahing Batangas’ Dance Troupe and Melengas Dance Ensemble of Pagadian City.
