Peace Covenant Signing in Labangan, Zamsb Sur (April 7, 2013) gcc

PEACE COVENANT SIGNING. Local politicians in Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur led by rival candidates incumbent  mayor Wilson  Nandang of Liberal Party and  challenger Vice Mayor Ukol Talumpa of Nationalist People’s Coalition sign a peace covenant for a Secure and Fair Elections (SAFE) 2013 at the municipal hall, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur at 1pm on April 7, 2013. The candidates vowed to comply with the covenant that they will campaign on issue based and not political mudslinging.

Incumbent vice mayor Ukol Talumpa, a mayoralty candidate of the Nationalist People’s Coalition.


Incumbent mayor Wilson Nandang of the Liberal Party , Vice Mayor Ukol Talumpa and other local candidates for May 2013 polls in Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur were given 2-5 minutes to introduce themselves and their respective platforms of government during the Peace Covenant Signing at the municipal function hall on April, 7, 2013.

The Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Police Office tasked by the poll body to hold the venue of the covenant signing to signal and showcase to the whole country the symbolic peace effort for the entire local government unit for them to follow .
